Why Hawaiian Healing?
I was born and raised in Hawaii where I have lived for most of my life. The greater part was spent on Oahu ‘the gathering place’, and for 13 years I lived on the Big Island ‘ The Island of Hawai’i’. I have always been surrounded by the Hawaiian culture but have never really had the opportunity to explore it with depth until I began my journey as a Healer who specializes in combining Hawaiian Healing Techniques and Life Coaching.
I am not Hawaiian by race, but have embraced the practices that have been used by traditional Hawaiian healers for centuries. I have been blessed to learn and be allowed to use these techniques by my Kumus (teachers). One of my teachers, Kumu Karen Leialoha Carrol, has given me the name La’akea (Sacred Light) from spirit.
As a master certified life coach, I witnessed a reoccurring pattern with clients. Old imbedded things from their past that kept on resurfacing consciously or unconsciously. These things were affecting their actions, decisions and choices in the present. I wanted to find additional tools to support them and Hawaiian Healing was a perfect match that resonated deeply with me. I also incorporate and combine other non-Hawaiian healing techniques as well.
Why Different Kumus?
'A'ohe pau ka 'ike i ka halau ho'okahi: All knowledge is not taught in the same school. I believe that I can learn from everyone. I seek the solutions and methods that can help to heal individuals. The more I learn, the better I can be of service. If I have more information, there are more possibilities. Each teacher provides different variations and approaches. I look to these kumus to push my abilities so that I can be the best that I can be to serve humanity.

Kumus
Kumu Karen Leialoha Carrol - Kahu Maika'iloa
Kumu Karen was born and raised on Oahu, and graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, an elite school for children of Hawaiian ancestry. She received a nursing degree and also interned with Papa Kalua Kaiahua, the great Hawaiian healer from Maui. She has also learned from the wisdom of John Kaanehe, David Kaanehe and from Spirit Kapua Heiau. She is descended from a family of spiritual healers from the Big Island and Oahu.
She carried on her Hawaiian Healing legacy through Kapuaokalani Academy of Hawaiian Soulistic Healing. Kumu Karen taught Lomilomi Massage and has 5 Day Hawaiian Healing Journey Retreats. Unfortunately Kumu Karen transitioned on Sept of 2019. She named Tomoko Kehaulani Sugino as her successor before her departure. For more information, please visit Lei Aloha Lomilomi
I was fortunate to learn lomilomi massage from Kumu Karen in her tradition. Included in her teachings was the use of the hā (the breath or to breathe) and sea shells for healing on humans and animals. At the basis of all of her teaching was love. I will always remember her saying, " The answer is love, what was your question?"
Kumu Karen ordained me as Kahu La'akeaokamaluhia (The sacred light of peace and inspired hope) in Aug of 2019.

David J. Wallace - Kahu Dave
David J. Wallace is an author, professional keynote speaker, educator, kahu, reiki master, remote viewer, seer, Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner, medical intuitive, and psychic intuitive. He is the founder of Ha Ki’i Healing and Medical Intuition Methodology and developer of the Picking Winner$ Method of predicting the future. He offers training workshops in healing, medical intuition, predicting sporting events, and choosing winning roulette and lottery numbers.
Kahu Dave is a descendant of ruling chiefs, kahunas, healers, seers, seafarers, navigators, explorers, educators, fishermen, farmers, and warriors. From an early age, he learned to communicate with these ancestors through dreams, visions, and visitations. His ancestors tutored and inspired Kahu Dave to develop his natural abilities and reach beyond his limitations.
What I love about Kahu Dave is his teaching style, his humor and in depth knowledge of the Hawaiian culture. His healing methods and insights are really great tools that I have used with much success in my practice.

Serge Kahili King and Susan Pa'iniu Floyd
Serge Kahili King background on Shamanism started at age 14 where he learned from his father. Later at age 18 he studied under his grand father Joseph Kahili of Kauai, a "kupua" or shaman of the Hawaiian tradition. He also spent seven years in West Africa being trained in African shamanic traditions, and has made in-depth studies of other such traditions around the world. Serge has published the world's largest selection of books on Huna, the philosophy and practice of effective living, and on the spirit of Aloha, the attitude of love and peace for which the Hawaiian Islands are so famous. He is the creator of Dynamind, an energy healing technique.
Susan Pa'iniu Floyd has been teaching Huna and Hawaiian Shamanism since 1987 working with Serge and Aloha International. She has been involved as a student and teacher of spiritual hula from a variety of kumus throughout her life. Susan is the creator of Kino Mana. She developed the Kino Mana courses to blend the study and application of the Huna philosophy and Hawaiian massage into one fun-filled class.
She has studied under Serge Kahili King (HUNA), Kahu (Abraham) Aua'ia Maka'i'ole Kawaii (Lomilomi), Kalena Mande and Willie Pulawa on Kauai, "Uncle" George Naope from Kona and Kawaikapuokalani Hewett (Spiritual Hula).
I was fortunate to have taken the last Hawaiian Shaman Healing Workshop with both Serge and Susan as the kumus. Susan is now the primary facilitator for the Hawaiian Shaman Healing Course for Aloha International. What I love that stands out for me from the class, was the speed and ease at which healing can occur.
